To our dismay, when we checked out in the morning, the agents were able to update our profiles, but we were delayed 20 minutes at a minimum for them to do this. I told him that I had never experienced this in the past, but he said this was the policy in France. The agent checking us in was poorly trained, and didn't know what he was talking about.

An upgrade would've been useful here, because the room I stayed in was very small, but I guess that's to be expected in Paris. So despite my Diamond membership, I had no access to the Executive lounge, nor any consideration for a room upgrade. So long story short, none of us could update our rooms with our personal Honors profiles. I was traveling with a team of 8, and one person made the reservation for everyone else. You will always be in the way of someone who is merely trying to walk by. First, the check-in area is extremely small.very unusually so. The property itself is pretty spectacular, but the check-in experience ruined everything. I had a lucky chance to get a sneak peek on a recent business trip and was terribly disappointed.
